Lead mechanic job
Cycle:recycle is looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic individual to come and join our current team of staff and volunteers as a lead bike mechanic.
If you have experience in running a busy workshop, bike recycling, training, project management, preferably CyTech qualified, but not essential, and preferably have knowledge of old bikes, then please contact us.
Initially we can offer this as a part time paid post, of 18 hours a week, but there is the possibility of full time.

One stop bike hub
cycle:recycle has moved the bike hub from the canal to a bigger and more exciting space that enables us to offer more facilities
As well as the services we have been offering for the last six years -
- Sales of refurbished bikes at affordable prices using qualified Cytech mechanics
- Recycle parts – from saddles to frames and everything in between
- Workshops in bike maintenance
- Public bike stand
- Supported maintenance sessions
- Electric bike hire - we:cycle bikes
- Meeting space
(all supported by our training programme for young and old prospective mechanics)
We are also working with many partners on being able to offer more, which will include:
- Bike storage facilities
- Hire of ordinary bikes alongside the electric bikes
- Indoor off road Bikeability sessions
- Learn to ride a bike – for all ages
- Creative bike recycling
- Build a bike
- Vintage bike building
All in a highly creative space with full support from experienced mechanics – and free tea and coffee …...
